Ok, here's how it works. Have whoever is playing sit around a table. Place the shot glass on the table. The first person who starts takes both dice and rolls them on the table. The object of the game is to get a '7' and '11' or doubles of any kind. If you get a '7' an '11' or doubles, you tell someone to drink.
The person you tell to drink fills the shot glass to the top with their beer. Now, here's the important part. The person that made someone drink sits there and watches the person who is supposed to drink carefully. As soon as the drinker picks up the shot of beer to drink it, the "drinkee" rolls the dice on the table as fast as he/she can, and if the roll turns out to be a '7' an '11' or a double, the process repeats. The drinker fills the shot glass again and the drinkee waits for the person to pick up the shot and then starts rolling. This can go on for a while, depending upon the luck of the roller. The highest I've seen in a row is around 10 times.
Here's some more rules:
As soon as the drinker finishes the shot of beer, he/she has to put it down on the table as fast as he/she can, and when it hits the table, the dice cannot be rolled anymore. If the roller has not gotten a '7', and '11' or a double by the time the drinker finishes the beer, the dice get passed to the next person. If the dice have left the rollers hand, and the shot glass was slammed down after the dice left the rollers hand, the roll *will* count if a '7' and '11' or doubles come up.
If the roller is trying to roll too fast or is too drunk, and the dice fall off the table, it's said to be "sloppy dice, drink twice". The roller must just drink twice out of his/her beer.
There is another kind of "rule" that some people play with, while others don't, depending upon how people feel. If a person has drunk a large # of consecutive shots, someone can "save" him/her by stealing the shot. All that means is that the "stealer" (the person not designated to drink) picks up the shot and drinks it. If the roller sees this, he/she rolls the dice and as always, tries to get '7' '11' or doubles. If those rolls come up, the person that stole the shot has to drink again, just as the designated drinker would have.
Another twist to this game is the "fake out". As soon as the drinker touches the shot glass the roller can roll. The drinker can "fake out" the roller by pretending to pick up the shot, but not touching it. If the roller *thinks* the drinker touched the shot, but really didn't, the roller drinks.
Remaining rules. Rolling a '9' is a social. Rolling a '4' and a '1' in a turn results in everyone putting their finger to their nose. The last one to realize what's going on, and doesn't get their finger to their nose, drinks.
I recieved this game in a email. I had never heard of it before but after reading about it I felt it had a great fun factor and passibly a high buzz factor.
You will need four cups filled half way with water, one die, four people(two teams of two) and a table with four chairs.
The rules of the game are as follows. Place one cup in each corner with a person sitting behind each cup. Your partner is at the cup beside you. One person starts by trying to throw the die in the mug on the oppisite side, the throw must be above eye level and in an upward direction not forward. The guys on the opposite side of the table must catch the die with one hand but watch out if the die hit's the mug it can go anywhere that's why the word diver is in the name you will be diving for the die if the people you play with get good enough.
Now with the drinking. If the die hits the floor or stalls on anything you must drink and the other team gets a point. If the die hit's the water (the die mostly stays in the mug but once in a while will bounce out of the mug) in the mug the other team must drink 1/2 beer and u get 2 points mostly play to 7.
Supplies: Dice, beer and an even number of men and women (3 men and 3 women).
Each person takes a turn at rolling two dice. Then simply follow these rules for each score:
If the number is even - take a drink
If the number is odd - remove an article of clothing
Doubles:
1-1 = make the call (shot or clothing)
2-2 = pass a shot to the person to the right of you
3-3 = it's your lucky roll, you go free
4-4 = truth or dare to someone of your choice
5-5 = lucky roll again, put a piece of clothing back on
6-6 = kiss the person to your right
Play continues until there is no more beer or no more clothes.
Supplies:Two players, one pink die, two white dice, one shot glass and the liquor of your choice.
Gameplay: The game begins with one player rolling the pink dice (aka "pinky"). After the initial roll, both players roll their white dice simultaneously.
- If the sum of the two white dice is 7, both players take a single drink (social).
- If the players roll the same quantity on their dice, they paper-rock-scissors. The loser takes one drink.
- If one of the players matches the pink dice, the other player drinks that amount.
Exceptions:
Triples: If all three dice match, a paper-rock-scissors is performed to decide who will drink. The loser drinks the number on the dice + 1 drink. There is only one exception to this rule:
666 Rule: If at any time three 6's are rolled, both players must attempt to grab "pinky". The player who fails to pick him up in time must take a shot out of "drinky" (our affectionate name for the shot glass). On occasion, when liquor was absent, we have substituted chugging the rest of your beer for taking the shot.
Sloppy Roller Rule: If at any point the dice falls off the table, the roller takes a drink and must re-roll.
Once the number on the pink die is matched, the player that matched it re-rolls the pink dice.
An excellent dice game. Supplies needed are the standard people and beer, plus dice. Check the variations below for additional or optional supplies.
Everyone sits in a circle. The first order of business is to determine the Three Man. This is done by each player rolling a die in turn. The first to roll a three becomes the Three Man (see below for the variations with the Beer Helmut.)
The player to the left of the Three Man goes first, and play continues in a clockwise direction.
Rules-- The Long Version:
The player then rolls both dice and acts accordingly to the following combinations:
1:1 Doubles - see below
1:2 Three Man drinks (sum to 3)
1:3 Three Man drinks (three on die)
1:4 Thumb to table or floor (playing surface)
1:5 Index finger to side of nose.
1:6 Player to left of roller drinks (7 left/11 right)
2:2 Doubles - see below
2:3 Three Man drinks (three on die)
2:4 Pass turn
2:5 Player to left of roller drinks (7 left/11 right)
2:6 Pass turn
3:5 Three Man drinks
3:6 Three Man drinks; Social
4:4 Doubles - see below
4:5 Social
4:6 Pass turn
5:5 Doubles - see below
5:6 Player to right of roller drinks (7 left/11 right)
6:6 Doubles - see below
However, if on the Three Man's turn, s/he rolls a three or combination thereof, s/he is no longer the Three Man and then can designate any other player as the new Three Man (this also includes if the Three Man rolls during a doubles give; see below).
Social: Everybody drinks
Doubles: The roller has the option of giving both dice to one player or one dice to two players. Whatever the case, the dice are rolled and the number on the dice is what that person(s) has to drink. (ie., roller gives the dice to Y and Z. Y rolls a 3 and Z rolls a five, Y drinks 3, Z drinks 5. Or Y gets both both dice and rolls a 3:5, Y then drinks 8.) However, if the given dice roll to doubles, the original roller has to drink that amount. But the original roller also keeps the turn.
To condense everything:
Total of 7 - player to right of roller drinks
Total of 11- left
Total of 9 - Social
Any 3 or sum to 3 - Three man drinks
1 and 4 - thumb on floor
1 and 5 - finger on nose
Doubles - give 'em away
Variation with the Beer Helmut:
To make the visual effect of the game more interesting, the Three Man should have to were some some of strange hat, the Beer Helmut. The Helmut could be almost anything that can be worn on the head, orange hunters' hat, lampshade, undergarments, etc. But tradition holds that the Helmut be made from a discarded case of beer, cut so the the handle serves as eyepieces and a nose bridge. Other ornamentation may be freely added, such as a plume from other cardboard or feathers. It should look like something worn into battle. Thus the name, Beer Helmut.
When the Three Man no longer is the Three Man due to skillful rolling, part of the ceremony is the passing of the Helmut onto the new Three Man.
